How can i produce more than one output avifile with mencoder if i encode to divx? split fails, because the index of avifiles is at the end of the complete file.

just encode the first half chapters and then the second half, or encode the whole thing and then split the avi in half using -ss and -endpos to copy the streams to two files. easy. chris xxxx
