I'm using the next line to watch TV and althought not absolutely perfect it is o.k. for me. I include also the lines for recording and with those two I have been able to remove the old video from my TV-set :-) First one: mplayer -vop scale,crop=704:528:8:8,pp=hb/vb/dr/al/lb -ssf cgb=5 cs=10 \ -tv on:driver=v4l:width=720:height=544:channel=$1:outfmt=i420:norm=PAL \ -vc rawi420 Second: mencoder -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vhq:vbitrate=1100 -vop\ scale,crop=512:384:8:8,pp=hb/vb/dr/al/lb -ssf cgb=5:cs=10 -oac mp3lame\ -tv on:driver=v4l:width=528:height=400:channel=$1:outfmt=i420:norm=PAL\ -vc rawi420 -o $2.avi if the programm takes the whole screen the whole TV screen, or Third mencoder -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vhq -vop\ scale,crop=512:288:8:46,pp=hb/vb/dr/al/lb -ssf cgb=5:cs=10 -oac mp3lame\ -tv on:driver=v4l:width=528:height=396:channel=$1:outfmt=i420:norm=PAL\ -vc rawi420 -o $2.avi if the program is of the type 16:9 Regards On Mon, 17 Feb 2003 23:23:47 +0100 Giuseppe Ciotta <giuppi@acaro.org> wrote:
[Automatic answer: RTFM (read DOCS, FAQ), also read DOCS/bugreports.html] hi!
I'm here still trying to get a good a/v sync with the v4l capture mode.
i've asked to several people, and someone on the mplayer channel says it's possible to use the btaudio device to capture the audio with this command line:
mplayer -vo xv -fs -tv\ on:driver=v4l:device=/dev/video:input=0:norm=PAL:channel=E2:\ chanlist=europe-west:width=640:height=480:outfmt=yuy2:\ adevice=/dev/dsp2:amode=1:audiorate=32000:forcechan=2 -nocache
but it doesn't work for me (no audio)
so i'm trying with the loopback cable, and i have a very bad a/v sync, is there a way to force a sync in this situation ? i mean, using the loopback cable is there a way to control the audio syncronization ?
my settings are:
vo = xv ao = oss (tried also with alsa9) cpu = Athlon 2200 xp 1Gb ram capturing video without any postprocessing results in 1% cpu usage, while capturing video with `-vop pp=lb' results in a 40% usage.
any suggestion ? thanks again ! -- Giuseppe Ciotta (string 72 101 108 108 111)
