Y'all are missing my point. Let's drop the "Unix" qualification for a moment. My point is that only geeks count starting at 0. The rest of the "non-geek" (i.e. non-computer programmers/operators) count _everything_ starting with 1. i.e. the first egg of a dozen is egg #1 and the last is #12, not #0 and #11. But let's not flog a dead horse. If y'all want to count (thing that users will want to count, for example, screens) starting with 0, I ain't gunna stop yas. b. -- Brian J. Murrell
