Ok. So you do not have framebuffer modules installed on the system. I suggest you upgrade to kernel 2.4.20 and try to get the framebuffer modules. I don't know if you have told your Linux distribution, but I think most major ones would have the fb modules available as rpm (or deb) package. If not, then you can always make your own kernel, but it is whole another story then how.
I'll tell what I'm going to do. This is an old computer (Pentium 233 MMX) with Libranet 2.7 (kernel 2.4.19, XFree 4.2.0) installed a few weeks ago. As it's a nearly fresh install, but a bit too bloated for me, I'll delete everything and do a basic install. I'll try changing my sources to testing (Sarge), that comes with kernel 2.4.20 and XFree 4.2.1, the same as Vector Linux 3.2, where MPlayer compiled well, and do a dist-upgrade. Next, I'll download the latest version of MPlayer and try compiling again. If that doesn't works, I'll throw away my Millenium card :>) ===== Francisco Felipe Legaz "Felip" Visita: http://www.novenadimensio.net i http://pagina.de/Felip "Arrakis ensenya l'actitud del coltell: aixo s'acaba perque ho tall AQUI" ___________________________________________________ Yahoo!
