For situations in which you have a reasonable technical understanding of the bug and/or can provide a patch, please subscribe to the mplayer-dev-eng list and post there. Your patch will have a better chance of being seen by more developers. Also, out of curiosity, does it work if you specify -demuxer lavf? -Corey
