Hi Francisco, why don't have a look at dvdrip homepage (www.exit1.org/dvdrip)? It's a good tool for ripping-encoding in a lot of formats, well written/discussed/maintained. It relies on transcode capabilities above all, but it works just fine. Hope that this helps. Kind regards, Fabio Russo f.russo@anthesia.it -----Messaggio originale----- Da: Francisco J. I found a webpage that explained that using mjpeg tools you had to extract the audio and video, then multiplex it , use vcdencoder and then burn it with cdrdao. The problem is that lav2wav and lav2yuv (in mjpeg tools) say that the input movie is not in JPEG 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 format. The movie is a plain popular DivX :-) so i tried using mencoder and lavc with the mjpeg like this: mencoder movie.avi -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mjpeg -oac copy -o test.avi Apparently, the vcd format uses mpeg1 for video (which mencoder supports) and mpeg 1 layer 2 for audio (which mencoder does not support) Is there something i can do? Sorry for the small off-topic. Maybe i can fix the "not a jpeg 4:2:2" issue with mencoder? Francisco J. León A. VII Semestre de Lic. en Computación Maracaibo, Edo. Zulia, Venezuela
