Hi everyone, after a long time without problems I thought I's try something new... I want to watch the MacWorld keynote but then: Playing http://stream.qtv.apple.com/events/jan/macworld/live_2004/1140/mwsf_ref_250…. Resolving stream.qtv.apple.com for AF_INET... Connecting to server stream.qtv.apple.com[17.254.3.215]:80 ... Cache size set to 320 KBytes Connected to server: stream.qtv.apple.com Cache fill: 0.00% (0 bytes) MOV: Reference Media file!!! QuickTime/MOV file format detected. Playing rtsp://a1757.v11408.c1140.g.vq.akamaistream.net/5/1757/1140/3ff9e9e8/1a1a1a…. Not a Realmedia rtsp url. Trying standard rtsp protocol. Connected to server: a1757.v11408.c1140.g.vq.akamaistream.net Stream not seekable! No stream found. With the QT6 player it works fine, so there is a stream. But why doesn't mplayer find it? Hello and happy new year !! I try to play an lavc-mpeg4 memencoded file through the DVB outpu of my nexus-S card. And I have the following problem : If I try : mplayer film.avi -vo mpegpes mplayer says to scale the video: then I try : mplayer film.avi -vo mpegpes -vf scale=768:576 and mplayer complains: VDec: vo config request - 524 x 572 (preferred csp: Planar YV12) Opening video filter: [lavc] The selected video_out device is incompatible with this codec. FATAL: Could not initialize video filters (-vf) or video output (-vo). Where am I making a mistake ? HDTV and mplayer

reca@far:/tmp$ grep -i hdtv mplayer-dvb.mbox |wc 0 0 0 so i thin i am the first... :-) if i record a hdtv-stream (euro1080) with -dumpstream, mplayer only produces a file with about a half second. The recording is too slow and crippled. Do you know of this problem and/or a solution? bye, rene -- | 6. Problems to play dvb://

Hi i own a dvb-s card rev 1.6, use the linux-dvb.2003-10-13 DVB-drivers and have installed the cvs-version of mplayer. now if i want to play dvb-streams with following command: mplayer dvb://RTL i get only: DVBIN: no such channel "RTL" Failed to open dvb://RTL But the entry in the channels.conf is called RTL.
