hey, i just noticed the other day that mplayer has significant visual problems playing the dvd of the movie ronin (us/ntsc version). every so often it jumps back and shows a much older frame, then goes on playing as usual, when using -vc mpeg12 (libmpeg2) to decode. with ffmpeg12 (libavcodec) it works fine, but unfortunately ffmpeg's mpeg2 decoder is too slow for me to use. i suspect this has something to do with b frames, but i could certainly be mistaken -- could someone take a look at it? perhaps if libmpeg2 can't decode these frames properly it should skip them entirely, rather than displaying something blatently wrong...? i'm uploading the first ~10 megs to mplayer ftp as ronin_framejump.vob. this isn't much but it's a plenty to see the problem manifest. rich
