I tried to duplicate this, but my build went fine. Here's the script I use (showing compiler flags) Mike #!/usr/bin/bash #REVISION="38459" echo -e "\nREVISION=\"${REVISION}\"\n" PREAMBLE="nice -- /usr/bin/ionice -c 3" FLAGS="--disable-radio-v4l2 --disable-radio-bsdbt848 --disable-tv --disable-tv-v4l1 --disable-tv-v4l2 --disable-tv-bsdbt848 --disable-pvr" FLAGS="--disable-jack ${FLAGS}" echo -e "\nFLAGS=\"${FLAGS}\"\n" ${PREAMBLE} make distclean ${PREAMBLE} svn update ${REVISION} ${PREAMBLE} ./configure --yasm=/usr/bin/yasm --extra-cflags="-w" ${FLAGS} && make --jobs=18 On Mon, Jan 20, 2025 at 10:05 PM George R Goffe < grgoffe-at-yahoo.com@ffmpeg.org> wrote:

Howdy,

I just tried to build mplayer from the repo and got a bunch of error messages about the following:

{standard input}:2408: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64' {standard input}:2410: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64' {standard input}:2412: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64' {standard input}:2416: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64' {standard input}:2418: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64' {standard input}:2424: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64' {standard input}:2426: Error: unknown pseudo-op: `.base64'

Mplayer has been building successfully for some time until now...

This system is a Fedora 42 x86_64 system that is up to date.

I have a full log of the build if that's needed.

Best regards,

George...
