[PATCH] aalib subtitle fix

For some time now, aalib rendering has had broken subtitles. -vo aa is designed to use human-readable text at the size of one character per character. In actuality, it's somehow switched to trying to render a standard font using dithering since its introduction. This patch fixes it. Explanation: vo_font doesn't seem to get used anywhere, because OSD rendering is actually done in a completely separate way from other video output, but I kept it in just in case. Fix crashes when pthread_create fails

Hi, I'm a PhD student. I analyzed the mplayer source code and found pthread_create missing error handling in several places, which may cause bad results like crash. I think it's unsafe to assume the library function would be correct. It would be better if we could handle the error properly. Attached please find the patch against the trunk version. Hopefully, it can solve these potential bugs. Best, Zhouyang

[PATCH] Read scratched DVDs, warn for corrupt titles and report number of cells in title

This patch does 3 things: Continues to next cell when DVD sector read fails instead of the current behavior of failing/signaling EOF. This is useful for playing scratched DVDs. Reports the total number of cells in a DVD title. This is useful for finding the longest title when title duration information is inaccurate. Warns when packs are out of order in the current title. This is useful for finding titles that are corrupt/invalid. If desired, I can separate this patch into two, one for the sector read failure handling and the second to report cell count and pack order. Thank you, Micah Richert
