Bluray input with -demuxer lavf

Hi, I've noticed a problem when using Blu-ray input together with demuxer lavf. The MPlayer cmd is as follows mplayer br:// -bluray-device disc.br -vo null -vc dummy -demuxer lavf -frames 1 The problem is that MPlayer does not stop after reading one frame (-frames 1) but goes on to read the *full* Blu-ray, until the end. You can imagine doing this on a 30-50GB bluray input. It trashes the disk until it reaches the end of the BD The same goes if you use something simple as: mplayer br:// -bluray-device disc.br -demuxer lavf I've tried to get it work but was not able to do it. The only option is to omit -demuxer lavf which then "works" but the terminal gets spammed with error messages and playback is virtually impossible! -- Yours truly

GUI + VDPAU ?

Hi, I've set up mplayer to use VDPAU and it works with no issue on the CLI. However, I often use the built-in GUI but in the config you can only select the vdpau vo and not the vc. Is it possible somehow to force it to use vc vdpau or is this not supported yet? Thanks -- Yours truly

Patch adding GNU TLS support to mplayer

Lately more of youtube videos are streamed over https, which makes smtube with mplayer back-end fail with an error message stating there was no stream to handle. In order to solve this issue, I made this patch adding GNU TLS support to mplayer (see attached gnu_tls_draft.patch and the TLS implementation in tls.h and tls.c, both files to be copied to 'stream' subdirectory) and would like to send it in for a review. I also took into consideration a previous attempt to add similar functionality to mplayer (see http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-dev-eng/2007-February/049277.ht…) It works for me with youtube https streams. [PATCH] libvpx compilation failure

MPlayer fails to detect this, and tries to compile it anyway; FFmpeg correctly disables libvpx on my system. The attached patch fixes it. It syncs our libvpx detection with FFmpeg, and so disables libvpx compilation if vp9 is not there. This could also be a bug in FFmpeg, since it should not use vp9 symbols if vp9 decoder is not enabled. From what I understand FFmpeg configure disables libvpx if any of the checks fails (vp8dec, vp8enc, vp9dec, vp9enc), so I'm not so sure that I can call it a bug. Can someone with a recent libvpx please check that detection works? I'll apply it when somebody can confirm it works with a good libvpx (or when Debian releases the next stable, whatever comes first). Ciao, Roberto

mplayer rtmp problem

Hello. Can you help me with mplayer rtmp playing? I need to play rtmp stream via mplayer, but rtmp-server requires authorization. To authorize on server I need to push rtmp-parameter tcurl: "rtmp://... tcurl=..." It works on ffmpeg, but mplayer doesn't understand space-separated strings. It also doesn't recognize any parameters like -rtmp_tcurl, -tcurl. -t, -token etc.. So can I play rtmp stream with authorization via mplayer? Sincerely, Ivan.

[PATCH] mencoder slang vobsub fix

Hi, This is my very first patch for mplayer/mencoder. This patch allows mencoder -slang <lang> <some video file> -vobsub <some sub/idx path> ... to select a language from a SUB/IDX combination. For example: mencoder -slang en /movie/my.avi -vobsub /movie ... where /movie contains a my.sub and my.idx. This will select language 'en' from the idx/sub. Without this patch you always get subtitle zero, whatever it may be. Why this wasn't fixed long ago - who knows. Mplayer does the right thing. Not mencoder. =Ed

[PATCH] Fix key_down_event SEGFALT

I discovered by messing around that using key_down_event with a large random value (ex SPACE | MP_NO_REPEAT_KEY) can cause a segfalt. I found the problem to be that isprint is only defined for values in the range of an unsigned char and the value EOF. The patch adds a simple check before isprint in mp_input_get_key_name to make sure the value is in isprint's range.
