The fallback behavior tests the size of the file once when mplayer starts, incorrectly assuming that the size of the file won't change. If it does change (i.e. a program is being timeshifted), mplayer will incorrectly display a progress bar of 100% when it reaches that point in the file.

Hi; mp3lib/dct64_sse.c uses fist and fistp instructions without explicitly providing a length. Gas just maps this to the short version. Clang doesn't do this automatically and it shouldn't. Attached patch fixes this by using fists/fistps instructions explicitly. Please review & apply. Regards, ismail

I've been sitting on this one for years. It will allow mplayer to correctly display the percentage left in a file even as the file is being appended to while being played. This is common when timeshifting programs.

aalib configure bug (and fix)

Hello, mplayer failed to link when building with aalib. Please find attached the fix to make it work again. Two other things I noticed: - trunk/README talks about DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html, should that be DOCS/XML/en/bugreports.xml now? - When displaying a video with -vo gl2, I don't see the OSD when pressing 'o'. Hi. This issue was raised last February: it would be nice to have an output driver similar to yuv4mpeg, but supporting timestamps and variable framerate, more pixel formats and possibly, in the future, muxing of the audio stream. Here is a try at implementing it. It uses lavf to mux uncompressed video frames into any supported container. Note that I needed to change vf_vo so that VOCTRL_DRAW_IMAGE would get the pts as an additional argument. Regards, -- Nicolas George

How to force max video output resolution

Hi, i am writing a video out driver for some homebrew hardware of mine. It's a fixed 640x480 device with BGR24 format. Specifying the correct BGR24 format was a snap. But i can' t figure out how to force a max resolution of 640x480 pixels. If a ask mplayer to play a 854x480 video it just doesn't understand that i want it to scale the video to at most 640x480 pixels. I don't return any VFCAP_HWSCALE_DOWN down flag, so i expected mplayer to understand my hardware needs something < its physical size. How do i do that? I have e.g. tried to set vo_screenwidth/height to 640x480 at various places incl. config() and in the VOCTRL_UPDATE_SCREENINFO path of control(). But still mplayer tries to feed my driver with 854x480 pixels. I am sure the answer is pretty simple, but i can't figure it out ... Thanks, Till

hello william wangs' pmp demuxer got somewhat ignored when he posted it, but since then he has developed mplayer-ww for windows. applying sherpya's patches (dsnative, winamp dsp filters). but also extending it to support directshow demuxers. also some fixes to opengl/directx in w7/vista. http://sourceforge.net/projects/mplayer-ww/ http://www.mplayer-ww.com/eng/changelog.html his mplayer can play the pmp samples: http://samples.mplayerhq.hu/playstation/psp/ any plans to merge some of this stuff? the pmp demuxer could be a good first step. -compn
