[PATCH 8/11] MPlayer <-> GeeXboX patches port : libmenu Audio/sub/chap change support.
by Benjamin Zores 11 Mar '06

11 Mar '06

This patch is the biggest one. It adds 3 new applets to libmenu : - Audio channels selection - Subtitle selection - DVD Chapter selection. It also patches Matroska and OGG demuxers (+ DVD streams) to return to libmenu the available number of audio/subs/chapters and allow runtime switching. [PATCH] remove limits from af_equalizer
by Corey Hickey 11 Mar '06

11 Mar '06

Hardcoded limits were recently removed from af_pan, so here's a patch to do the same thing for af_equalizer. I've also added a note about clipping to the man page. -Corey Index: libaf/af_equalizer.c =================================================================== RCS file: /cvsroot/mplayer/main/libaf/af_equalizer.c,v retrieving revision 1.5 diff -u -r1.5 af_equalizer.c --- libaf/af_equalizer.c 27 Dec 2004 17:30:13 -0000 1.5 +++ libaf/af_equalizer.c 23 Nov 2005 04:31:08 -0000 @@ -45,10 +45,6 @@ */ #define CF {31.25,62.5,125,250,500,1000,2000,4000,8000,16000} -// Maximum and minimum gain for the bands -#define G_MAX +12.0 -#define G_MIN -12.0 - // Data for specific instances of this filter typedef struct af_equalizer_s { @@ -116,7 +112,7 @@ for(i=0;i<AF_NCH;i++){ for(j=0;j<KM;j++){ ((af_equalizer_t*)af->setup)->g[i][j] = - pow(10.0,clamp(g[j],G_MIN,G_MAX)/20.0)-1.0; + pow(10.0,g[j]/20.0)-1.0; } } return AF_OK; @@ -129,7 +125,7 @@ return AF_ERROR; for(k = 0 ; k<KM ; k++) - s->g[ch][k] = pow(10.0,clamp(gain[k],G_MIN,G_MAX)/20.0)-1.0; + s->g[ch][k] = pow(10.0,gain[k]/20.0)-1.0; return AF_OK; } Index: DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1 =================================================================== RCS file: /cvsroot/mplayer/main/DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1,v retrieving revision 1.1161 diff -u -r1.1161 mplayer.1 --- DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1 23 Nov 2005 00:27:25 -0000 1.1161 +++ DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1 23 Nov 2005 04:31:10 -0000 @@ -3966,7 +3966,9 @@ .RSs .IPs <g1>:<g2>:<g3>:...:<g10> floating point numbers representing the gain in dB -for each frequency band (-12\-12) +for each frequency band. +Useful values are usually from -12 to 12. +High values may cause clipping; see the volume audio filter. .RE .sp 1 .RS

[PATCH] clean up EDL code
by Oded Shimon 10 Mar '06

10 Mar '06

I don't remember if I wrote this or someone else, but the way it is right now is quite ugly (safe, but is "tricky" in that it scares automatic scanners...). Any objections to this patch - ods15

headers for osdep/ subdir??
by Reimar Döffinger 08 Mar '06

08 Mar '06

Hello, I just noticed that we have a little problem there (AFAICT). Since we do not have any headers there, this means that e.g. strlcpy will be used without prototype on platforms where it is not available. Now if this is a 64 bit platform, I think the pointers will be truncated to 32 bit, right? Same probably for other functions as well. So what should we do about this? Include a prototype in config.h? Create "wrapper headers" for e.g. string.h? Or what? Greetings, Reimar Döffinger

[PATCH] resource leak on failed subtitle load
by Reimar Döffinger 08 Mar '06

08 Mar '06

Hi, the currently is a (very unlikely) resource leak, namely when subtitle loading fails because there already are too many (set_of_sub_size >= MAX_SUBTITLE_FILES). The attached patch fixes that and also makes MPlayer print an error message in this case, too (though it might be suboptimal that it is the same one no matter for what reason loading failed). Okay to apply? If no objections I will apply tomorrow or so. Greetings, Reimar Döffinger

[PATCH] automatic charset conversion for output
by Reimar Döffinger 08 Mar '06

08 Mar '06

Hi, the attached patch would change the format of the message strings to UTF8 (thus they will work properly with GTK2, someone should test GTK1 though) and convert them as required in mp_msg. This is more lika a draft, so feel free to add suggestions... Greetings, Reimar Döffinger
