actually most of the codes of the patch is from salvador's sub pos patch, i just make it works properly. first it cut the vob sub to visible part, and then display the sub at the bottom of the picture, with sdl, and if we lucky that the sub is not too big, the sub will be outside the movie. Vobsub troubles and ripping

Hello, I was working on ripping vobsub subtitles and I had some trouble with playing vobsubs without IDX file. I am not sure if its due to my ripping routine or if it also occur with original vobsubs too. The problems are 1) completly wrong timings and 2) palette colors is not read from the IFO file. Anyway, before I apply unsuitable patches, people please test this and say if it breaks anything... After that I will try to cleanup the vobsub ripping part. Kim Minh.

[PATCH] codecs.html clarification

I had been confused by the libavcodec subdirectory that was already present in CVS MPlayer, even with the current documentation (which is quite accurate in this area), so I added a quick note for clarification. I don't know if it's necessary, but I found it helpful. See the attached patch. Take care, John

hi. accordign to arpi's suggestion i made a patch that just disables those plugins that can't handle the audio format. it also fixes a bug (and i'm pretty sure this _is_ a bug) where, when playing multiple files, after the first file only the first audio plugin is used. bye christian ohm -- Gordon's Law: If you think you have the solution, the question was poorly phrased.

[PATCH] A simple live recorder

Hi, I'd like to know what other think about this. It's a very simple stream recorder, so you can record a stream while playing it. You can also start and stop the recording with the "record" command. Keep in mind that you can start/stop recording only with headerless streams (like mp3). To try it you must add a bind to record in your input.conf. Command line switch is -recorder with on,off,started and stoped. The last 2 set if it should start recording from the beginig or not (by default it does start from the beginig). Also it must be configured at compile time with --enable-recorder. Albeu

Hi, Finaly, i've found a way to tell ice how to handle the layer stuff properly. Therefor i added a new option -icelayer which takes values from 0-15: Desktop (0) Below (2) Normal (4) OnTop (6) Dock (8) AboveDock (10) Menu (12) Why i took 15 as max value ?
