As far as quality improvements go, I can tentatively recommend mv0 and/or cbp. I can't actually notice any visual quality improvement (I'm biased and I can't make anybody around here sit still long enough for a double-blind test); however, the two new options often increase PSNR slightly, and that's probably a Good Thing. I want to test a couple more sources, and then I'll post my results on -users.
I especially like mv0, since it will produce files that take less cpu time to decode. This effect could be amplified even more if you combine mv0 with single-coefficient elimination (v*elim) at the expense of quality of course (but then again you save bits so the lower quantizers can make it look better).
