Hello, I recently learned that the Playstation 2 game movies are stored in MPEG2 format. So, well, I tried to play some using mplayer. And it actually works for the video, but not for the audio: [...] system stream synced at 0xD (0)! ==> Found video stream: 0 MPEG-PS file format detected. Unknown 0x1BD substream: 0xFF [skipped a lot of them] MPEG Stream reached EOF ds_fill_buffer: EOF reached (stream: audio) MPEG: No audio stream found -> no sound. [...] I put a stream sample there, if you want to take a look at it: http://dem.nobis-crew.org/l5logo.pss When I tried to look around the file a bit, it seems that it has been encoded using TPMGEnc. And when I looked the streams in it, there is one substream that in fact contains the audio, in raw 16 bits stereo waveform format, with a small header. So I think it should be easy to fully support it with mplayer, but I'm not skilled enough to do it myself. If you want more samples like this one, just ask, I've got plenty of them. [BUG] main-cvs segfaults with video filters 'sab' and 'smartblur' - not 090-cvs

Hi, With main CVS, the sab and smartblur filters do not seem to work any longer. They still work with 090-cvs. Mplayer bails out with the following messages:" internal error in orderYUV internal error in orderYUV Segmentation fault (core dumped) " FWIW, the errors seem to occur in the sws_scale() call. How to get time and length of file?

I am writing a java application for mplayer. Most people are saying why use java....I am doing this has a grad project of sorts. I use Mplayer as an engine of sorts. My question are this: 1) I use slave mode to interface with mplayer(props to mplayer for that), I can run the commands that I need with that. The only problem is how do I retrieve the current time and total length of file. [BUG] segfault with some mpg with main-cvs - not with 090-cvs

Hi, I've uploaded to mplayerhq ftp two mpg samples that crash mplayer main cvs but they work with the 0.90 branch: seg11_with_mpcvs-ok_with_090.mpg (1) seg11_with_mplayercvs_ok_with_mplayer090.mpg (2) I've tried several compilation options, the distro is a debian sid. patch for previously described bug

So I'm not sure if this video file is corrupt or if there's a bug elsewhere but it seems read_video_properties() doesn't check its arguments at all. I'm a bit puzzled why no video stream is found but I don't really have any solid evidence that there is a valid video stream either. I added a check for the lack of a video stream and now at least I just get a clean exit: ASF: No video stream found. ASF: No audio stream found -> no sound. Video: Cannot read properties. No stream found. Exiting... Still getting seg fault on end of every video

Am I the only one still seeing this seg fault on the end of every video? This seems to be the same old config parser bug where it uses a string constant somewhere in setting up the config structures and then some other component tries to overwrite it. I've been seeing this bug continuously since, oh, a few months ago. Audio channels messed up in 6 channel mode

When I play 5.1 ac3 audio, the audio channels are mixed up. Initially, the Center/LFE is swapped with the rear surround, however seeking during playback can rotate the outputs. I've uploaded a sample to ftp://mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming/6.1_test.avi. Play it, and seek back a few times at the beginning to see the soud output moving between speekers. This happens with mplayer-0.90rc5 as well as with the current CVS. I use alsa-0.9.2, and it happens both with -ao alsa9 and with -ao oss (using alsa oss emulation). My motherboard is the Asus A7N8X deluxe, and I'm using the integrated nForce2 audio. The mplayer -v output is included below.
