bug with some avis using ffmpeg

hi. since some days (a week or so) mplayer doesn't play some avis right. the brightness is right, but the colour is shifted half horizontally (so the colour that should be at the sides is in the center of the image). it appears only using -vc ffdivx, and i couldn't find out what files are causing this, so i've uploaded a sample to the ftp (universal.avi.gz). bye christian ohm ps: btw, when using 'mplayer *' in a directory with subdirectories, mplayer tries to play the directories and takes some time to figure out that it can't play them. a check if a file is a directory could help there. -- Try to get all of your posthumous medals in advance.

termios & SIGTSTP

Hi, I encountered following problem with keyboard input of MPlayer: When I stop mplayer (using ^Z), my shell resets mplayer's termios settings (to be precise, ~(ICANON|ECHO)), so that when I continue mplayer using fg in my shell, the settings aren't restored, and mplayer doesn't recognize the keystrokes. One solution could be to install a signal handler for SIGCONT, which will call getch2_enable(). We might also need to do getch2_disable() on SIGTSTP (so that static int getch2_status, from linux/getch2.c is set/reset correctly) Trivia about my system: uname -a: Linux 2.2.20 i686 (RedHat 6.2) Using MPlayer 0.90pre4-2.95.4 Tried above with bash and zsh. thanks, Kedar

DVD handling bug?

hi, i seem to be having a problem with mplayer and a specific DVD. (star trek: the original series, volume 6, title 2 i.e. the second episode on the disc) using different VOs such as dxr3 and fbdev i get the same results: mplayer quits (not crashes) after several seconds of playing. according to the log (attached), it seems mplayer thinks the MPEG stream has reached the end of the file? i've ripped the DVD to disc, DeCSSed and demacrovisioned it and burned it to a DVD-R and i get the same exact results when using -dvd, but if i mount the disc and try to play the VOB file corresponding to the title, it works fine, although mplayer does not automatically skip to the next VOB file (the title is over 1 GB). i have attached several files: mplayer-startrekvol6.log.gz: mplayer quitting after several seconds (-dvd mode) mplayer-startrekvol6vob.log.gz: mplayer working fine (reading the VOB file; i pressed q several seconds after the point mplayer in -dvd mode quits) mplayer-startrek6ss30.log.gz: same as mplayer-startrekvol6.log.gz, but with -ss 30, mplayer quits immediately systemspecs-bst.gz: my system specifications is this perhaps a problem with the disc, although it plays fine in other windoze software DVD players and consumer DVD set-top boxes, or is it a bug in mplayer's DVD handling? If there is no formal documentation could someone at least point to where the tmpnoise filter came from. Someone has got to know something about it.
