Hi, I have an avi video with 5000 frames. The original frame rate is 15 frames/per second, and it takes 300 seconds to play the whole video. I want the video to play faster so that it takes less time to complete, so I change the frame rate using the following command: mencoder in.avi -o out.avi -ofps 100 -ovc copy However, out.avi still take around 300 seconds to complete, even though out.avi does have fps of 100fps according to the info displayed by mplayer. What command options should I use if I want the output video to be complete in 50 sec? Thanks. Shiyuan

"-ass" problem

mencoder isn't manifesting my subtitles with the "-ass" option. Oddly, it adds my bottom margin, which is (correct me if i'm wrong) an libass feature, but no subtitles. With this command, withOUT the "-ass" option, the subtitles ARE overlaid and burned in, but without the ass enhancements: mencoder myinvideo.flv -ovc xvid -xvidencopts pass=1 -oac mp3lame -nofontconfig -sub mysubs.srt -subcp utf8 -subfont-text-scale 3 -ass -ass-use-margins -ass-bottom-margin 150 -ss 0:01:10 -o myoutvideo.avi mencoder myinvideo.flv -ovc xvid -xvidencopts pass=1 -oac mp3lame -nofontconfig -sub mysubs.srt -subcp utf8 -subfont-text-scale 3 -ass -ass-use-margins -ass-bottom-margin 150 -ss 0:01:10 -o myoutvideo.avi

Hello! I am truing trying to integrate phantomjs and mencoder to produce animated GIF images. Can somebody please explain, how do I - encode GIF image from reading set of PNG images from stdin - specify GIF shall loop - specify loop count I googled this and found lots of links for ffmpeg, but not for mencoder.
