There's a feature request on Fedora bug tracker, asking for a meaningful error message when failing to read DVD on a RPC-II drive with unset region. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=499796 Maybe we could use FFmpeg's or MPlayer's bugtracker for dvdnav, too?
