Separated RAR support, as it is the most questionble change in the old patch. Told emacs to never use tabs too, so it should be cleaner. Add UDF2.50 logic, which includes BD5ISO, and HD-DVD support. Support non-DVD style access. (File iteration, and reading). Diffed against svn 1153. This patch includes: 1. Add ExtFinfo (262) support 2. Add FileType (250) re-direct support 3. DVDOpendir/DVDReaddir/DVDClosedir/DVDOpenFile for UDF access. 4. dvdread-1.9.7 stat methods for obtaining VOB data and sizes 5. AD chaining, instead of assuming files will always fit in 1 AD group. 6. dvd_udf API uses "UDF_FILE" type instead of "starting block number". 7. Separate struct AD and struct FileAD instead of ugly 64->32 bit work. 8. Minor memory clearing problems, and memory leaks. I rebuilt gstreamer-plugins-ugly against the older libdvdread-0.9.7-3.fc8 and it worked fine. I receive an error that states, "libdvdread: Invalid main menu IFO (VIDEO_TS.IFO)." Possible violation of GPL licence

Hi Not really a developmental thing - but here are some strongly oriented GPL believers - it might be interesting to know that there is a binary in the commercial world which has no source codes available (at least I've not been able to find them and tried hard) - So what is the problem :) - recently a lot of various companies in various countries started to sell nice boxes (basically same hardware, just different case and set of connectors), that are able to play DVB-T and files from hard drives - check for names like Ellion, Movie Cube and dozen others (see http://rtd1261.wikidot.com) Box usually runs busy-box - but the main application 'DvdPlayer' is obviously closed source and full of nasty bugs - looks like there is so far no communication for the box producer - and where is the catch :) Binary contains these strings: libdvdnav:DVDOpenFilePath:findDVDFile %s failed libdvdnav:DVDOpenFilePath:dvdinput_open %s failed libdvdnav:DVDOpenFilePath:dvd_file malloc failed libdvdread: Can't stat() %s. Patch to add dvdnav_get_serial_string function to dvdnav

The attached patch adds a function to dvdnav to obtain the dvd serial number externally. This is used in mythtv to generate a unique id for the disc for it's bookmarking code. This is my first patch to dvdnav to please tell me if I'm doing things wrong etc. Cheers, Matthew

Retrieving framerate from current DVD

Hello, I'm currently working on re-syncing mythtv with the latest dvdnav (4.1.3). Is there any way that I can detect whether the dvd framerate is 25 or 29.97 using the dvdnav library as it is? Also, the dvd serial number does not seem to be exposed externally. Would the developers be interested in a patch that exposes this as a function? Thankyou, Matthew Wire

dvdbackup and the skipping unused/bad sectors patch

Hi, Don Mahurin has modified [1] dvdbackup [2] to find and avoid unused blocks by following title set titles, and then skips the unused blocks. The purpose of this modification is to avoid possible bad sectors that sometimes occur, by manufacturer defect or intention, in unused regions of the disc. The titleset titles are followed using libdvdread and "libdvdvm" extracted from libdvdnav. The "libdvdvm" parts are not perfect, as some jump instructions are skipped to avoid the actual execution of the Jump, which fails in this isolated use of the library. It would be nice if this "libdvdnav" could be separated from libdvdnav into a standalone library. In libdvdnav 4.1.3 there is already an directory called vm.
