Subject: [rtmpdump] git repo has no tags

The web page says get version 2.4 from the git repository, but when I
git cloned it, there are no tags at all.  I'm trying to get version
2.4 in the hopes it will work with openssl-1.1.1d, even though the
commit messages don't seem encouraging from git log.

I just did what it said on https://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/ and did:

git clone git://git.ffmpeg.org/rtmpdump

I also followed the link to the download area
http://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/download/ but there was no version 2.4
there either, and in fact no version since 2010.

Am I using the wrong website/repo/download area?
Also, where are the man pages for rtmpsrv and rtmpsuck?
