someone could make a 2.5 release, and basically a new release each time
some feature is added.
yet another svn/git vs packaging war.
distros want to package old versions
projects move too quickly to be packaged.
developers dont care to waste time on creating releases.
users report bugs to developers using old releases from distros, thus
wasting time of users/developers.
we've all seen these arguments before. there is no solution i can see.
