Hi guys,

I recently treated myself to C.S.I. fith season.  Only noticed, when I
popped the first disc in the DVD player, the set is Region 1 NTSC, and
my TV can only handle PAL (old TV).

I thought copying the discs with DVDShrink (runs nicely under wine!)
would help - I admit, I don't know much about the differences between
PAL and NTSC), but it didn't - the resulting DVD still makes my TV roll
the image.

So, is there a good way to change the mpeg stream inside the VOBs to
PAL?  I've ripped the DVD with vobcopy -m, so I have the complete
structure on my hard disc.  What I'm thinking is just re-encode each VOB
and replacing the original ones with the new ones, and then burn it back
to disc.

Or is mencoder not the right tool for this?
