I copied mplayerplug-in.conf to my ~/.mplayer with debug enabled. You
can actully for <br>
each of formats independently.<br>

How did you dig out the URLs of the trailers? I can play most real audio/video files/streams with MPlayer, but I wasn't able to test the Yahoo ones, as I couldn't find anything useful in the source code.
