Hi, I've been using mplayer for some time now. And in that time, I've found that with some Avi files, the video seems to go at normal pace, but the audio goes at double speed. 

In the FAQ it says that it's due to a buggy audio driver.

When I reconfigure my kernel to use no sound, and use OSS after i boot, the sound is fine... 
 
I'm using an onboard VIA 82cxxx. I've downloaded the driver listed on the sound.html page in my DOC/ directory and compiled my kernel with it.

The FAQ says to use -ao sdl instead of -ao oss. I've previously installed SDL, but mplayer's configure script doesn't pick it up (nor does any other SDL requiring program I've tried). 

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
