I just pulled the latest subversion a day or two ago, and compiled using
the latest ffmpeg pulled from their git repository, by mplayer's
configure script, and had no issues whatsoever. Have you run a 
make distclean
before building?  That cleans out any cruft left over from previous
builds, as I understand it.
