What that means (or meant, back when I was active around here - I
actually had commit rights, a long long time ago) is that reports of "I
can't compile! Help!" don't belong there.

Providing a patch to fix a compilation issue isn't the same thing,
though. Patches definitely belong on -dev-eng.

(As it happens, someone else(?) posted the same patch this morning, as
the second in a "series" of unrelated configure patches.)
