[MPlayer-users] Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so

Is this the correct place to ask questions
on mplayer2?

Problem:

    Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so:
    cannot open shared object file: No such file or
    directory

It doesn't seem to come with a `--version' option but
the Debian repos tells me their version of it is:

    Version: 1:2.0~git20130903-dmo7
