[MPlayer-users] Volume Up/Down Causes Unpause

Hi,
 
I've built the latest mplayer snapshot on two machines one with Debian Jessie and another with Raspbian.
I begin to play an audio file, then I pause, then I volume up and I experience two different behaviors.
On Debian mplayer volumes up. On Raspbian mplayer volumes up and also resumes playing.
I wonder which one is the expected behavior and what could be causing the difference.
I've also looked into config files but couldn't find a reasonable difference the might be causing it.
