I downloaded the files and ran a script that says:
#!/bin/bash
DISPLAY=:0.0 mplayer -fs ToyStory_softskip.mp4 &
DISPLAY=:0.1 mplayer -fs ToyStory.mp4 &

That way I can see the movies next to each other on different monitors.

I do not see any difference. This can be due to several things:
1) Too short a sample. So I have not enough to look at
2) Too much downscaling. The downscaling minimized or removed the issue or made them equal in both samples.
3) I am trying to look for the wrong things
4) Bad eyesight because of old age or what disturbs you does not disturb me.

What I run:
MPlayer dev-SVN-r35127-4.7-openSUSE Linux 12.2 (x86_64)-Packman (C) 2000-2012 MPlayer Team
