[MPlayer-users] Slideshow display problems

Hi -

I am attempting to run mplayer to display a slideshow of jpeg images using the command: mplayer -mf fps=0.25:type=jpeg mf://pictures/*.

My problems with the slideshow are:

- The pictures look great except for the fact that they usually (but not always) overlap the edges of the screen. The pictures are correctly centred vertically, but not horizontally.

- The first and last pictures in the sequence don't display. I can get the first picture to display by using the -nocache option in the command line. But this doesn't solve the problem with the last picture. It looks as though the last picture appears on the screen but only very briefly - nothing like the 4 seconds that the fps rate instructs - before mplayer exits and the screen goes blank again.

Any pointers on how I can solve these problems? Clearly I can work around the second problem by using a blank jpeg image as the last picture, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Mplayer 1.1 is running on a basic Linux From Scratch (LFS) build and using vo=fbdev2. I have tried running a .avi movie file and this seems to works fine.

Thanks,

Paul
