[MPlayer-users] feature request: have configure checkout ffmpeg "by default" from github http

Hello.
Sorry can't remember if I already suggested this, but for people like
me who may be behind draconian proxies (but want to build mplayer), we
get this:

$ ./configure && makeNo FFmpeg checkout, press enter to download one
with git or CTRL+C to abort

Cloning into 'ffmpeg'...fatal: unable to connect to
source.ffmpeg.org:source.ffmpeg.org[0: 88.191.250.118]:
errno=Connection timed outsource.ffmpeg.org

[1: 2a01:e0d:1:3:58bf:fa76:0:1]: errno=Network is unreachable

Failed to get a FFmpeg checkout


feature request: do a git clone "by default" like this:
$ git clone https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg.git ffmpeg

instead.
To avoid this problem, since it's solely over http, and works fine for
almost all firewalls.
