[MPlayer-users] resume video download with mplayer

I'm using mplayer to download videos from internet

(ubuntu 12.04, MPlayer svn r34540)

mplayer is used this way :

mplayer -noframedrop -quiet -really-quiet -dumpstream -dumpfile

the problem is that when download is interrupted for any reason (which 
is frequent here in middle east) the download is lost, as far new 
download will destry previous file.

Is there any way to instruct mplayer to resume a previous download?

this would be usefull for downloading big files
