I am not sure whether this is a joke or not, so for the record:

In this context, DRM stands probably for Direct Rendering Manager rather
than Digital Rights Management. There is a fairly common library for Linux
called libdrm whose task is to interface with the kernel's direct rendering
subsystem; it is usually a dependency of libGL.
