Tried on the following systems:
(1) SunOS sun3 5.11 snv_151a sun4u sparc SUNW,A70
(2) SunOS sun2 5.10 Generic_147441-01 i86pc i386 i86pc
(3) FreeBSD bsd1.hq.steg0.de 8.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.2-RELEASE #3: Sat Jan
14 02:47:16 CET 2012
root at bsd1.hq.steg0.de:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/KERN-RS-8.2-20120112 i386
...all built with external xvidcore and x264 using gcc-4.5.3/4.5.2/4.6.2
and default memory model.
The usual playback workload with vo's xv and gl, as well as using
mencoder to convert stuff to xvid and x264 seems to work as expected.
Apart from the usual glitches on Solaris (need --extra-ldflags="-lX11
-lrt", need --target=sparc-sunos on sun4u, need /usr/xpg4/bin/sh shebang
on Solaris < 11, manpage not nroff compatible, no IPv6 w/o patches) no
problems encountered.
Didn't check the HTML docs though.
