Ahh, yes Freeview(HD) I think it's in the DTG d-book rather than being 
about broadcast flags - though I can't find a copy to confirm.

I do know my Panasonic TV states that anything recorded on the optional 
usb hdd drive won't be playable on anything else - but then it is 
freeview hd and d-book looks like a UK thing - so the OPs TV may not be 
affected at all.
