Dear Felix/Ryan,
Our intension is to make mplayer run without X-libraries .
We have compiled Mplayer from the source version :
Mplayer-1.0rc3final.dfsg1 for debain version 5.0.8.
We have SDL library :libSDL-1.2
FreeDb version: directfb-1.2-9-pure
We have compiled the sources using above library versions/
./configure prefix=/tmp/mplayer --confdir=/tmp/mplayer --disable-x11
--disable-cddb --disable-cdparanoia --disable-dvdnav --disable-dvdread
--disable-dvdread-internal --disable-jack --disable-pulse
--disable-openal --disable-nas --enable-sdl --disable-lirc
--enable-directfb --enable-tv --enable-tv-v4l1 --enable-debug
When we ran mplayer , the application is crashing.

It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
