Since there were no relevant changes between these, there
is some information missing.
But if you are really sure it was a MPlayer change, you
can convince me by showing which exact change it was.
That is done by binary search: try r34940. If it works,
the bad change must be between r34941 and r34980, so you
would continue with testing r34960. If r34940 didn't work,
the bad change would have to be between r34900 and r34940,
so you would try r34920.
This will take at most 7 steps to find the exact issue.
Of course you could start with checking if and which config file
MPlayer reads with e.g.
http://download.sysinternals.com/files/ProcessMonitor.zip
To make sure it isn't just that you installed some program
that sets $HOME and thus MPlayer is looking at a completely
different place.

I very much mind them, because using exactly the same options
would make sure it is indeed related to the config file and not
some change breaking e.g. -brightness.
