[MPlayer-users] libass failed me on Arabic subtitles

on 2011/12/04, mplayer updated libASS to 0.10.
Now I confirmed that this update broke the Arabic
and Hebrew sub rendering, "the character order
became LtoR"

I tried to roll back libASS to 0.9.13, and it became
OK again.
I am not sure whether it is a libASS bug or mplayer
 missed something should set to libASS.

and I tested this with command:
./mplayer -ass -font /Library/Fonts/Arial.ttf -subcp UTF-8
 -sub ~/Desktop/hebrew.utf8.srt /the/path/file/name/
