Dear all,

I'm looking forward to csf format support on MPlayer for Linux, this
guide bring me hopes:
http://web.njit.edu/all_topics/Prog_Lang_Docs/html/mplayer/codecs.html
, but I'm a bit confused. New to here and please let me know if I'm
posting to a wrong list.

XPlayer , also called as "景桥播放器“ in Chinese, is a video player for
it's csf format. Unfortunately, this video player have no Linux
version. The Windows version can be downloaded here:
http://www.collegesoft.com.cn/XPR108258.exe (
http://www.collegesoft.com.cn/ ) . Seems there is no English version
for XPlayer, sorry for that, if any one has interest on investigating
XPlayer please let me know if I can help on language support.

Currently I have no idea about the csf format, but by searching in the
MPlayer Chinese forum, I found DirectShow is using by csf format. [1]
I known little about DirectShow, just following the guide in
http://web.njit.edu/all_topics/Prog_Lang_Docs/html/mplayer/codecs.htm
, I've generated below information with graphedt.exe :

 -  Resource Source
  - DisplayName: @device:sw :
{083863F1-70DE-11D0-BD40-00A0C911CE86}\{3E950A1F-A0D4-4A98-ADA1-BB275E8FF271}
  - Filename: C:\Program Files\Common Files\ScenicX\Components\kswmsour.dll
      - major type: MEDIATYPE_Stream {E436EB83-524F-11CE-9F53-0020AF0BA770}

I also have a sample csf video, but I'm not sure what does "codec
file" exactly mean, and where can I get "fourcc".
Here is a file list of XPlayer, there is a codec directory:
http://pastebin.com/G3yNuai9
http://pastebin.com/7QgkUyJ2

By the way, I found there is a video format converter which can
convert csf player format to wmv format:
ScenicEditor 2.11.15.0 ( http://www.xdowns.com/soft/softdown.asp?softid=53131 )
Not sure whether it is useful for getting csf format supported by MPlayer.

Here is my questions:
  - How can I get the "fourcc"?
  - Which file should be uploaded as "codec file"?
  - Where to upload these files? There seems no "Income" directory in
ftp://ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer
  - Does I miss anything else?

Thank you for any suggestions!
