There is many frame interpolation technologies available on 100Hz TVs 
and Windows, but no one on linux.
Frame interpolation makes 30fps video looks like 60fps on the fly (for 
ex. uses CUDA), it looks pretty good, here is some examples

There is no players on linux can supports this technology.
