[MPlayer-users] Custom Keyboard Shortcuts

Hi there,
I was wondering if there was a way to create custom keyboard shortcuts in
mplayer? Having read the man page and done some googling, I could not find
anything about this.
Basically, I want to create a keyboard shortcut to delete the file that is
currently being played (and move to the next file in the playlist if there
is one).
Since a keyboard shortcut does not exist for this by default, I thought
there might be a way I could create a short executable shell script to
perform this for me, and then configure a keyboard shortcut to run that
shell script.
Is there a way to do this, or would this be a handy feature to request for
future releases?
Regards,
Ben
