[MPlayer-users] Thread affinity

Hello,

When using -lavdopts threads=n , is it possible to set thread affinity somehow?

My specific situation is that I have a dual-core Pentium D system
which is for some reason unstable with both cores (appears to be a SiS
chipset issue). I am using the isolcpus=1 header parameter. But I need
both cores to decode h.264. "tasksel 3 mplayer" does not help, it
remains on CPU 0 only.

Other people might have different use for thread affinity, such as
placing threads on real cores as opposed to hyperthreaded, or vice
versa.
