Distribution maintainers would kill us.
I fixed that specific issue, but did not test if it really works now.
When you build yourself, that option is not recommended for several reasons (amongst others, performance, disabled functionality and it is not very actively maintained).
Nevertheless, it is desirable to keep it working, and your help with that (in any way, even just bug reports) is both welcome and necessary (even though you'll usually be told as the first solution to "just don't do that").
