The sample in question plays fine on very slow hardware (significantly slower
than the hardware described), it plays fine with a MPlayer version two (!) years
old, and it plays fine with current svn head.

The OP is using an incredibly old version that does not only fail for the sample
he provided but must also fail for many, many other samples that have been fixed
in the past years.
