[MPlayer-users] small feature request: add git

Hello all.
Twould be nice if mplayer used git (and or github, prefer github).  A
mirror would be fine, even.

Then checking out the source would be easier past draconian proxies, like mine:

$ svn checkout svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/mplayer/trunk mplayer
svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.mplayerhq.hu': No connection could be
made because the target machine actively refused it.

Since git has fallbacks to straight HTTP et al.
Oh and github makes it a pleasure to submit patches :)
