[MPlayer-users] HD video judders with -ao pulse

Hello,

when playing HD DVB-C channels (Das Erste HD, ZDF HD and arte HD; all in
720p at 50fps), video judders noticeably. This happens e.g. with -ao
pulse and -ao pcm. Playback with -ao alsa is impeccably smooth. Decoding
h264 in software instead of VDPAU and inserting -vf framestep=2 helps
too, so this is somehow related to the fps rate as well.

Is it a known issue with PulseAudio? Can MPlayer do anything on its part?

MPlayer r34353 on Ubuntu 11.04.

Uncompressed MPlayer console output is huge (604KB), I try to attach it
gzipped.

Thanks,
