Please update to latest svn (nothing else is supported here) and read
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=159346 if you are not sure if
HDMI works at all for you.

What works:
TrueHD decoding and output as 8-channel PCM (this is lossless)
AC-3
DTS (up to six channel, iirc)

What does not work:
TrueHD pass-through
DTS-HD (this does not work at all)

FFmpeg contains code to allow DTS-HD and TrueHD pass-through, but it has not
been implemented in MPlayer yet.
