Maybe you already did this (or it isn't even strictly necessary), but 
FreeBSD ports normally apply patches to upstream packages (from 
/usr/ports/multimedia/mplayer/files). So to reproduce the build from 
ports you would need to apply those patches to the SVN working copy as 
well I guess.

My FreeBSD box is x86 though, so it doesn't compare directly...
