[MPlayer-users] mplayer along with directfb causes, directfb output to get cleared

Hi!

I am using mplayer and DirectFB in an embedded application. I use mplayer to
play video
files and DirectFB to render images on the display while the video is
playing. The video
and imges do not overlap each other.

However, when the mplayer starts playing a video, the entire screen in
cleared and shows 
black.

Can you please help me understand why this happens?
